About Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church
Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church stands in faith and a light to the community under the direction and pastorate of Pastor Henry O Chapman. We stand on the word of God and are led by the Holy Spirit. We are a place of prayer, peace and joy to all who join us. Our community is richly diverse, with people of different ages and backgrounds coming together to worship and serve together. We welcome all individuals seeking God’s love and our doors are open to every soul seeking to welcome Jesus into their heart.

The choir is responsible for singing beautiful and challenging music to glorify God and edify the congregation.
Ushers/Greeters
Ushers
Psalm 84:10
The job of the ushers is to greet God’s people and make them feel welcome as they enter the sanctuary. Ushers also direct people to available seating and access the needs of the congregation.
Deacon/Deaconess
Act 6:1-7
Men called by God and filled with the Holy Spirit. They are the Pastor’s helpers and biblically are one of the officers of the church. They help with spiritual and temporal affairs of the church.
Deaconess
Romans 16:1-2
The deaconess tends to the women of the church. The deaconess deal with spiritual and temporal matters of the women of the church.
Outreach
Isaiah 25:6
This ministry deals with those in need. This can include baby supplies, housing, job placement, clothing and food distribution.
Church Upkeep
From time to time, we have projects going on around the church for the upkeeping. Anyone is welcome to volunteer when announcements are made
Youth
Proverbs 22:6
The youth ministry is in place to train the children of the church on biblical standards. The youth department consists of bible study, youth choir, praise dancers, and various activities. Youth counselors are here to teach life and biblical applications.

Sunday School, Bible Study a place members can go deeper in the word of God, gaining a closer walk
Women’s Ministry
Proverbs 31
The Women’s ministry focuses on bible studies, support group activities and current events that deal with the woman of the church.
Mission
Titus 2:3-5
The Mission Ministry deals with visiting the sick and shut in, bereavement, membership welfare checks and are also role models to the younger ladies of the church.
Laymen Ministry
Psalm 133
The Men’s Ministry deals with leadership, responsibility and integrity of the men in the church.
Housekeeping
Matthew 12:43-45
Keeping the house of God clean and in order.
Kitchen
Isaiah 25:6
The kitchen crew maintains the kitchen area. They ensure that when the church is having special dinners that all the needs of the menu and supplies are met. They do their jobs with a hospitable attitude.
